The Institution has been established by Shiva Educational Trust (Regd). Moga in the memory of the great Patriot Sher-e-Punjab Lala Lajpat Rai, who was born in a village near Moga. It is located on the Moga-Ferozepur G.T Road (near Police Station Sadar Moga), about 6 Km. from Nestle India Ltd. This is a self-supporting and self-financing Institute, where the fee structure is as per instructions of Punjab Govt.

The college started functioning w.e.f the session 1998-1999 after approval from Punjab Govt. and All India Council for Technical Education. The Institute has the unique distiction among self-financing private colleges as it was started on it’s own campus after the construction of new building, Lecture halls, laboratories, Workshops. It has a beautiful landscape with a neat and picturesque environment.
